What Sen. Reid say goes all the way back to slavery, when light and dark skinned slaves would be pitted against one another. It is a white supremacist device and should not be scoffed at. The reason why many black people voted for Barack Obama had nothing to do with how light he was, or his dialect. If you listened to most white people who voted for Obama, they said they did so because they wanted change. Sen. Reid shortchanged a lot of people. Obama got the most votes of any president in the United States. Now that Health Care is on shaky ground, maybe it's time for Sen. Reid to make like a banana and split.
considering you have a job and the stuff you have said I'm surprised you said dems say things republicans would get fired for
As for Senator Reid and his racist remarks, he is not going anywhere soon and besides, Obama and Michelle, the Rev, and Juan Williams of Fox all came to his defense immediately because he butters everybody's bread in the Democratic Party and I think that these Black leaders block him out and just do not want to kill the goose that has spit out their golden eggs for so long.
Do you remember during the primaries when Bill and Hillary blew virtually the entire Black vote with at least three offending gaffes, beginning in South Carolina? Sometimes you do not know what is subliminal until it slips out. Jay R
