Group Wants Bear Act Away From State Fair

(Honolulu, HI) -- Animal activists say they want a performing bear show that's set for this year's State Fair to be put in hibernation. Animal Rights Hawaii says the show known as "A Grizzly Experience" exploits animals and is a danger to those who attend. The performing bear show is scheduled to run for three weeks at the 50th State Fair beginning later this month. Animal Rights officials say people who attend the show could be in danger given the company's poor record, which includes the escape on a small bear from its home last year.
