(Honolulu, HI) -- Jurors in the death penalty case of a former Schofield Barracks soldier will be back in court next week to determine whether he should be sentenced to death. The penalty phase in Naeem Williams trial will continue next week. Jurors previously convicted Williams of beating his five-year-old daughter to death after roughly a month of testimony. This week, they began hearing more testimony about whether Williams should be eligible for a death sentence. His attorney has argued Williams has a low mental capacity and should be spared such a sentence.
